Partner Program

The Partner Program lets you resell Coldsea Deploy to the organizations you manage, at negotiated wholesale rates. You provision and manage client organizations under your own account, and you're charged at your partner rate rather than the retail price.

The program is managed at the organization level. Only members with billing permission, such as owners and billing administrators, see it and can act on it.

Finding the Partner Program

Open Partner Program in the sidebar. It appears above Settings for anyone in your organization who can manage billing. If you do not resell and would rather not see it, you can hide it from your own sidebar (see below).

Applying

The Partner Program page opens with an explanation of what the program is, how reselling works, the commitment involved, and what to expect, so you can decide before committing to anything.

  1. Read the sections explaining the program and the commitment.
  2. Select Apply to the Partner Program to open the application.
  3. Fill out the application:
    • Where your subscribers will come from.
    • Your projected monthly reselling revenue by the end of your first year.
    • The number of client organizations you expect in year one (optional).
    • Your primary contact name, email, and phone (optional).
    • Anything else you would like us to know (optional).
    • The acknowledgment that the program involves a negotiated minimum monthly spend, discussed only if you are selected, and that as a reseller you are responsible for billing your own customers.
  4. Select Submit application. Submit stays disabled until the required fields and the acknowledgment are complete.

The application is a deliberate step, not a single click. We use what you share to review fit before sending terms, so the more context you give, the smoother the review.

What happens after you apply

  1. Under review. Your application shows as under review while our team looks at it. You can withdraw it at any time before terms are sent.
  2. Terms sent. If your application is approved, we send partner terms for you to review. The Partner Program page shows the terms, including your wholesale rate for each tier, any minimum monthly spend, and the start date, with Accept and Decline actions. A count badge appears on the sidebar item so you know terms are waiting.
  3. Accepting. Before you can accept, you confirm four acknowledgments about your responsibilities as a partner: that you accept the negotiated minimum monthly spend and are responsible for meeting it; that the minimum is composed of the discounted wholesale rates for the subscriptions you resell; that you are responsible for paying Coldsea for all of your organizations' discounted subscriptions; and that you own the billing relationship with your own customers, since Coldsea does not bill your sub-organizations directly. Accept stays disabled until all four are checked. Accepting then switches this organization to the Partner tier. If you already have a subscription, unused time is credited back and your card on file is used for future invoices. If you do not have a subscription yet, you are taken to secure checkout to enter payment.
  4. Active. Once active, the Partner Program page shows an Active badge, your agreement (your wholesale rates, minimum spend, and start date), the health of your partner subscription, and a link to your clients. You can review it any time. Nothing about your clients is managed on this page.

If an application is declined, the page tells you, and you can apply again.

Managing your clients

Once your agreement is active, Managed Organizations appears in the sidebar for everyone in your organization who can manage client organizations, and the Partner Program page offers Manage client organizations, which takes you there. From there you add client organizations on the tier you choose, change their tiers, manage their members, open them to work inside, and enable or disable them. You're charged for each enabled client at your wholesale rate for its tier; a disabled client is charged until the end of your billing period, then not at all. See Managing client organizations.

Keeping your partner subscription healthy

The Partner Program page tells you whether your partner subscription can be charged:

  • Your partner subscription is active: nothing to do.
  • Your last payment failed: select Update payment method to fix it in the billing portal.
  • Your partner subscription is not active: select Complete checkout to start it again. If your partner account is suspended, contact support instead.

Only members with billing permission see these actions. Until the subscription is healthy, you cannot add clients, enable them, or change their tiers, and Managed Organizations shows a banner pointing back to the Partner Program page. Members without billing permission are asked to find someone who has it. See Your partner subscription's health for the details.

If your partner account is suspended

Coldsea can suspend a partner account, for example over unpaid invoices. When that happens, everyone in your organization who manages billing receives an email with the reason, and the Partner Program page shows a Suspended badge and Your partner account is suspended along with the reason and the date it started. Your agreement terms and the health of your partner subscription stay on the page.

While your account is suspended:

  • Your existing client organizations keep working, and you can still view them and your partner reporting.
  • You can still open a client, but only to look. The banner inside it reads Access is read-only while your partner account is suspended.
  • You cannot add client organizations or change existing ones in any way: changing a tier, enabling or disabling one, inviting or removing its members, or releasing it. Trying to do so shows a message that your partner account is suspended.

Contact support to resolve the issue. When the suspension is lifted, your billing holders receive an email and you can manage clients again.

If your partnership ends

When your partnership is terminated, you lose access to your client organizations straight away. Managed Organizations leaves your sidebar, and the page itself reads Your partner program has ended, so you can no longer open or change your clients. You can no longer open your clients, see or change their members, enable or disable them, or see them on your Dashboard. Anyone already working inside a client loses access to it on their next action.

Your clients are not cut off. Each one keeps its plan and access until the end of the current billing period. See If your partnership ends for what happens to your billing.

Hiding and restoring the nav item

If you are not planning to resell, you can hide the Partner Program item from your sidebar. On the Partner Program page, select Not interested? Hide this from the sidebar. This affects only your own sidebar, not your colleagues'.

To bring it back, open Settings and then Preferences, and turn on Show Partner Program in navigation.

The item reappears on its own whenever there is something to act on, such as an application under review or terms waiting for acceptance, even if you previously hid it.
